Every 1st Tuesday of the month, ann and pat opens exclusively for FLINTA people! Just hang out, chill, meet old friends and make new ones, laugh, have a say, talk politics, chat, play wildly and most importantly feel comfortable! Previously, the first Tuesday in May was called "Girls only day." So no boys! That hasn't changed. FLINTA* is an abbreviation covering different groups who all benefit from a safe space like FLINTA* Day! At ann and pat, everyone should feel welcome, which is why F stands for Women – in our case, girls and young women. L stands for Lesbian, women who love women. I stands for Inter. Not all people are born as girls or boys. Some babies are born with sex characteristics that cannot be clearly classified as male or female. These are intersex people. N stands for Non-binary. Binary means two-part. All people who don't fall into the female-male category are meant here. You often read the word nonbinary in English. T stands for Trans. Transgender people don't identify with the gender assigned to them at birth. This includes trans women and trans men. A stands for Agender. These are people who don't belong to any gender. * The asterisk at the end serves as a placeholder for all gender identities that are not female or male.
