DESCRIPTION:In spring 1912\, Vienna witnessed a remarkable encounter between two prominent voices of the era: Peace Nobel Prize laureate Bertha von Suttner met with writer Karl May for a personal conversation during her stay in Vienna and also attended his final lecture in the city. The meeting was devoted to the great questions of the early 20th century – war\, peace\, and the individual's moral responsibility. It took place at the Hotel Krantz. This Viennese encounter impressively illustrates Bertha von Suttner's role as an intellectual catalyst and pioneer of pacifism.
