When Tobi and his girlfriend Marina clean out the basement, he finds his old video camera with a film of Tobi and Marina as children making their very first Checker episode. In it, Tobi asks the big question: Who is the secret ruler of the Earth? Then the film cuts off. Tobi receives a visit from his 8-year-old self, who urges him to find the answer to the question he forgot. The beginning of a new adventure in which Tobi travels to Madagascar, Spitzbergen, and Mexico, learning a lot about the Earth—and about himself.
