A year after Elphaba's disappearance, tensions in the Land of Oz remain high: The Wizard of Oz, with Madame Akaba's help, stirs up sentiment against the "wicked" witch Elphaba, while Elphaba tries to warn the inhabitants and help the displaced animals.
