Lisa lives with her brothers Lasse and Bosse, and the other children Britta, Inga, Ole and Kerstin on one of three farms in Bullerbü. School's out and summer vacation has arrived – it's long, but never boring. A flooded meadow becomes a pirate sea, sausage songs are composed while shopping, an overnight stay in the hayloft brings plenty of excitement, and Ole adopts the grumpy cobbler's dog.
